Meet Miss Bethany

Bethany and her husband, Philip

Welcome!

I started playing piano when I was five and went on to train classically. I've been teaching since 2017, and my students have come to know me as “Miss Bethany.”

In lessons, we build a strong foundation in technique and music reading. My favorite part is teaching improvisation and chord theory — there's nothing like watching a student discover they can create music of their own!

My husband, Philip, and I call Vista home. He serves as the Junior High pastor at Calvary Vista, and I play keys on the worship team. I reopened my studio in 2026, and I can't wait to introduce you (or your student) to a love of music!

What students learn

I

Technique

Proper posture, hand position, scales, and arpeggios that build strong, relaxed, expressive playing.

II

Reading & Theory

Fluent note reading, rhythm, and the theory behind the music — so students understand what they play.

III

Improvisation & Chords

Chord theory, chord progressions, and improvisation foundations — so students can create music, not just read it.

IV

Musicianship

Dynamics, phrasing, and expression that turn notes on a page into real music — plus a personal portfolio of songs they love.

A one-time $50 enrollment fee per student is due at registration to reserve your lesson time.

Location

Lessons are available in-studio or in your home. In-home lessons are offered on Fridays only and include a monthly travel fee based on distance.

How tuition works

I

Your reserved spot

Each family reserves a day of the week and a time. That spot is yours all year — the same lesson time, every week.

II

Same tuition every month

Tuition is the same each month — including shorter months like December and months with a fifth week.

III

School calendar

The studio follows the school calendar, so there are no lessons on school holidays. In months with a fifth week, there are no lessons that fifth week.

IV

Make-up lessons

If I need to cancel a lesson, it will always be made up. Make-ups for lessons a student misses may be offered when time allows, but aren't guaranteed.
